<INTERNS> Interview with Intern Soo Yeon Lee
Q. Please introduce yourself. A. I’m Soo Yeon Lee, 25 years old, currently in graduate school majoring in International Studies. I’ve always been interested in helping marginalized neighbors, which led me to this internship at KWS.
Q. What kind of work did you do as an intern? A. I mainly wrote press releases, created dreview of fundraising on Naver Happybean, and answered questions on Jisik iN(Q&A sit on Naver)
Q. What was the most memorable experience during your internship? A. Filming a 'Reels' video was unforgettable. There was this specific move. Do you want me to show some moves?
Q. How will this internship impact your future career? A. I have always believed that everyone should have their human rights guaranteed and enjoy the right to happiness. This aligns with the vision of the KWS, which is dedicated to supporting marginalized neighbors. I've come to realize that pursuing work that aligns with both my passion and a shared vision has become a powerful driving force in my life. I believe this will serve as a guiding principle for my future plans and endeavors.
Q. What are your future goals? A. I plan to resume exercising and studying foreign languages while continuing my academic development in graduate school
<INTERNS> Interview with Intern Yoo Jin Kang
Q. Please introduce yourself. A. I’m Yoo Jin Kang, a Social Welfare major with a double major in Business Administration.
Q. What did you learn from the internship? A. I learned so much! Writing stories for Happybean really stood out – creating narratives based on real cases and sharing how beneficiaries' lives changed was incredibly meaningful.
Q. Any advice for future interns? A. I hope you make the most of this internship opportunity and learn as much as you can! It's not just about adding an NGO internship to your resume; it's about using this experience to grow personally. So, enjoy every moment of it!
The Citibank Korea-Kyung Hee University NGO Internship Program provides university students with an 8-week internship experience at NGOs across Korea during the winter break. The program aims to enhance students' understanding of civil society and develop their potential as future civic leaders. Since the 18th program, KWS has participated, helping interns build their skills as social welfare activists.
