Let me introduce new operating facilities 'Gyeonggi-do Independence  Support Organization'

Gyeonggi-do Independence Support Organization was established in 2015 to support customized self-reliance support services (employment, housing, psychology, etc.) and establish a system for delivering services without deviation so that protected children and young people ready for self reliance can settle in society safely and healthily.

Interview with Ms. Yeong-hyun Jin who is responsible for supporting the isolated and the secluded.

Q. Please tell us about yourself and your job!

A. My name is Yeong-hyun Jin and I am dedicated to helping young people prepare for self-reliance with all my heart. I am in charge of case management for isolated and secluded young people preparing for self-reliance as they lack help.

Q. Can you share a memorable project?

A. I remember ‘The online project: Ritual Life for Me’. We provided self-care kits to those who were in a slump due to depression and lethargy. One boy who love reading books wrote a phrase that comforted him with his handwriting and sent it to me. “Do not think things that you obtain from your existence as your reason to live, think of existence itself as a reason to live”

Q. What was the most rewarding experience in your career?

A. There was a secluded and isolated young man who was taking medicine due to depression. I had a meeting with him every week. Last April, he began to find energy back in his daily life and achieved certification as a computer specialist in spreadsheets and databases level 2. It was the most rewarding moment.
